Kybella for your Double Chin
Introducing Kybella at Enhanced Image Med Spa!
Do you hate your double chin and want to get rid of it? You have probably heard about Kybella on shows like Good Morning America and the Today show. Kybella is an FDA approved injectable used for the treatment of your double chin. Kybella is deoxycholic acid, a naturally occurring molecule in the body, that is injected into the “double chin area” using a small needle to aid in the breakdown and destruction of the fat cells in the double chin area. This is a minimally invasive procedure with little downtime. Kybella is an alternative to liposuction for the removal of fat in the chin area.
How Kybella Works
The Kybella treatment is a revolutionary approach for those who would like to get rid of a double chin. The active ingredient in KYBELLA® is deoxycholic acid, identical to the naturally-occurring molecule in the body that aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat. When injected into the fat beneath your chin, KYBELLA® causes the destruction of fat cells. Once destroyed, those cells cannot store or accumulate fat.
At Enhanced Image Med Spa in Glendale you will meet with Dr Iannitelli to decide how many treatments you need. It usually takes between 2 & 3 treatments depending on the results you desire. You will have obvious swelling for 2-3 days and some swelling for a few weeks. You may also experience some redness.
How Long Do Kybella Results Last?
Because Kybella destroys fat cells, the results are virtually permanent. As long as you do not have significant changes in your lifestyle habits the double chin will not re-appear after the treatment has been completed. Remember that the results from the Kybella treatment appear gradually with full benifits showing after approximately 12 weeks after the treatment. Enhanced Image Med Spa patients find that it is a bonus that the gradual change makes it impossible for anyone to tell you have had a treatment. The loss of your double chin just looks natural.
